General Instructions

The responses will ask you to creatively respond to and/or analyze plays we've studied (you do not need to consult secondary criticism). I will post response options in advance of the due dates. If you want to pursue an alternative response topic, please discuss this with me in advance. The first response is due Tuesday, March 1 (to be submitted to D2L by 11:59pm); the second is due Tuesday, April 26 (an optional draft of Response #2 is due Thursday, April 14). Responses not submitted on time normally will be penalized a full grade for each day they are late.

Specific Guidelines

1. Each response is to be (at least) 2 full pages in length (double-spaced).
2. Use 12 point type (Times or Times New Roman fonts).
3. Use standard margins (i.e., 1 inch at Top and Bottom, 1.25 inches Left and Right.
4. Papers should be free of spelling and grammatical errors.
5. Quotations of 2 or more lines of text should be indented and single-spaced.
6. Cite source of quotation clearly by page or book/line(s) numbers, as relevant, in parentheses (i.e. within the body of paper, not in footnotes)
