General Instructions

The responses will ask you to creatively respond to, and analyze materials we've studied in the course. I will post response options in advance of the due dates. If you want to pursue an alternative response topic, you must discuss this with me in advance. The first response is due Friday, February 24, to be submitted to D2L Assignments by 11:59pm; the second is due Friday, April 21 (if you want to submit a draft of Response #2, this is due Friday, April 14), to be submitted to D2L Assignments by 11:59pm. Responses not submitted on time will be penalized a full grade for each day they are late.

Specific Guidelines

1. Each response is to be at least 2 full pages in length (double-spaced).
2. Use 12 point type (Times or Times New Roman fonts).
3. Use standard margins (i.e., 1 inch at Top and Bottom, 1.25 inches Left and Right.
4. Responses should be free of spelling and grammatical errors.
5. Quotations of 2 or more lines of text should be indented and single-spaced. 
6. Cite source of quotation clearly by page or book/line(s) numbers, as relevant, in parentheses (i.e. within the body of paper, not in footnotes)
