CLAS 532
Report Guidelines
Spring 2025
- Your presentation should be 10 minutes long (there will be an opportunity for discussion afterward).
- Provide your audience with an outline of the report (electronic, hardcopy, or a combination of both) that is free of spelling errors, typos, et sim.
- Focus on the translation itself and include some analysis of specific text.
- The presentation should be rich in content and analysis and not contain superfluous “background information”. Extratextual materials (e.g. biographical details, the translator’s literary milieu and habitus) should be included only to illustrate how these shaped or influenced the translation.
- Be sure to read some reviews and/or scholarly articles (if available) about the translation.
- The outline should include a bibliography of the items you consulted while preparing the presentation.
